Sometimes a glittering career hides some of the darkest tales. Lolo jones, the champion of the USA and World the hurdle championships, achieved the status he has achieved after years working hard and a lot of perseverance. Jones was the only member of a family with five children who lived living in poverty. She was constantly moving around, and had even been living in a basement church for a length of time. Jones had to attend a new high school each year because of her nomadic background. In Theodore Roosevelt High School, Jones resided apart from her mother in order to pursue her passion for track events. Jones lived with four distinct families, which helped ensure that she was studying at a high level. Jones was a part of the Orchestra of Iowa as well as the Gatorade Track and Field Award. She also won this award in her school. Jones at the time she was going to college, was recognized as one of best hurdlers. Jones was the winner of the 100 meter hurdles at the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship. She also was part of the winning team for the 100-meter relay. Jones was a winner of the indoor hurdles at NCAA Championships both in 2003 and 2004. Jones began her track and field career in 2005 after she graduated from university. She was the winner of two events, her events, the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track competitions during the same season.
Brandt is a child of the Cape Town region. She grew up in Cape Town South Africa with her siblings and parents, immigrated into Auckland New Zealand when she was in her late teens. The local casting directors discovered her. Brandt took on the role of Naevia for the Starz smashes Spartacus: Blood and Sand and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Working with producers Steven S. D Knight and Sam Raimi she captivated audiences with her performance and became an one of the series' most memorable stars. She starred in the hit Netflix show Lucifer that had a six year run playing the fan favorite Vertigo/DC comic book character Mazikeen. Lucifer was a smash hit and broke the record of binge viewing and was named the top shows that were binge watched in 2021 by Forbes. Brandt's next appearance is in the six-episode Walking Dead spin-off in 2024, opposite Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurrira. Other Netflix projects include the animated comedy Captain Fall starring Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan, Jason Ritter, and Chris Meloni. This will premiere in the month of July 2023. Lesley Ann Brandt born in Cape Town South Africa on December 2, 1981. She is quite a talented New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt moved with her entire New Zealand family to Auckland in 1999. In Auckland Brandt started as a retail worker, but was later upgraded to IT Management Consultant. Following a couple of modeling projects, Lesley appeared in many commercials. Her acting degree was completed in 2008, and then continued to study the methods of Meisner. Lesley Brandt landed her first important acting role with New Zealand in TV Drama Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt appeared in the New Zealand drama Shortland Street in the role of a guest supporting character. She then appeared in This Is Not My Life. The show is based on the actual story of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt was cast as Naevia the hostage's young daughter and depicted later on in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniature series in the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand.
